The Truth About Prisoner Partition

By Deanne Shepard

Rules and regulations exist in every place so that people within a certain community will be guided in what they should and should not do. They are not made as a means of asserting power by the higher authorities, contrary to what most revolutionaries believe in. Instead, they are placed so that peace and order will pervade the land. Lack of such laws will ultimately end up in chaos.

These laws are made entirely to keep everyone safe, and is in no way created to suppress certain rights. This is why people really take these guidelines to heart and avoid all instances where they may be tempted to break out of line. But, there will always be others who might be pushed to cross the set limits, for reasons not entirely known. If these happens, the wrongdoer is transported immediately to the appropriate facility along with many others, separated from each other by prisoner partition.

A prisoner is also known as an inmate or detainee. He is that one person who has been deprived of freedom, even against their will. In present day standards, a prisoner is someone who has come in conflict with the law.

As aforementioned, not everyone who steps inside the cell are already guilty of committing the wrongdoing being accused to them. Some of the people inside a prison are only staying temporarily. They could just be awaiting for the results of the deliberation. Those who are declared innocent are allowed to go, while those who are proven guilty without reasonable doubt will be stripped off of his liberty.

These sentences are decided in accordance to the severity of the certain crime being committed. They are the punishments for the wrongdoings, so naturally, those who have committed crimes can be detained for far longer than those who have less serious slip ups. There are those who can even get out in no time as long as someone bails them out.

But, there will also be times where these inmates have to be taken from one place to the next. This act of transfer can be due to the decision of those in power, but it could also be due to the request of the inmate himself. Sometimes some of them are moved to a more heavily guarded cell, especially if the detainee is pretty much high profile.

Sometimes they are transferred to a new place when there are just too many detainees inside one cell. Most city prisons are heavily overcrowded, to the point where some people are forced to sleep in the cold and hard floor because all the warm beds are taken. Those who are situated somewhere far from their families are detained to someplace near.

There could also be various outside trips that entail the inmate to return during a set time. They could be temporarily allowed to go outside for very valid reasons. These reasons could include a trip to the hospital, or a trip to the court.

The transportation of an inmate can be potentially dangerous. Aside from the use of handcuffs and leg irons, each vehicle should also be fitted with partitions, to provide a safety distance between officer and inmate. These partitions will also allow the police to bring more people in one trip, rather than to take more trips to safely bring every suspect.
