The Creation Of Cellphones And How They Turned Out To Be So Popular

By Jeremy Mitchell

Cellphones are considered as one of the most important and technologically advance invention created in during the past century. They are the primary modes of communication preferred by most people around the globe with a history dating back in the 1800s. Given the importance users give to their mobile phones, it really is not surprising that people use different ways including phone cases in order to protect their gadgets.

The year 1843 is the year which marked the beginning of the cellphone when Michael Faraday first made his invention regarding electricity. Radio technology resulted in the development of electricity which later on became the basis for the development of cellphone technology. Motorola Dyna-Tac is the first ever portable phone model sold in the market. It was manufactured by the Motorola Company in 1973 through the efforts of Dr. Martin Cooper who is then manager for the systems division of the said company. Cellphones became quite popular when Motorola started mass producing them in 1977 with the citizens of the Chicago City doing the initial testing. The functions of mobile phones throughout the years have been improved which not only includes calling and SMS services but also internet and e-mail access and TV and radio streaming.

Cellphones have nine basic parts which made up the overall function of the gadget. The different parts of cellphones are namely: circuit board, liquid crystal display (LCD), battery, antenna, keypad, microphone, speaker, plastic casing, and accessories such as mobile phone cases, adapter, headsets, etc. The first and probably the most important part of the cellphone is the circuit board. This is the part of the cellphone which is also known as the brain of the gadget where all information and instructions come from. All the information coming from the circuit board are then made for viewing and displayed to the user through the phone's liquid crystal display or LCD. As in most gadgets, cellphones will not work without the power sources which in this case are the rechargeable batteries made from various materials such as nickel-metal hydrides, lithium-ions, nickel-cadmiums, and lead acids. The material used for the cellphone battery depends on the phone's brand and model.

On the other hand, we have the antenna which is another very important part of mobile phones. Without the antenna, it is not possible not make calls and SMS as it is the part which picks up signals from providers. There are also the keypad, microphone and speakers which help in creating and delivering message to a family or colleague. Lastly, we have the different cellphone accessories which help in maximizing the use of our cellphones. Examples of these accessories are the mobile phone cases which are used mainly to protect our precious item from damages such as scratches and the like.

Keeping cell phones protected is almost always at the top of everybody's mind. This is entirely not surprising given the important role this gadget play in our everyday life. As already mentioned, the use of mobile phone cases is one way that cellphone users do in order to protect their gadget. These cases are available in different designs and materials including those made of plastic, silicone, leather, aluminum, carbon fiber, and nylon.

Cellphones are a necessity in this fast paced world. With almost all people owning at least one, no matter the age and position, this business is now considered one of the biggest with an industry estimated at $30 Billion. With their importance in our lives, it is but necessary that we always care for them through the use of protective items such as mobile phone cases.
