Leaving the place you considered as home and living in another environment is a critical stage in your life. It can be a heart-breaking experience to say goodbye to your friends and your favorite places in your neighborhood. You may also find some discomfort at first to meet another group of strangers who will soon become your neighbours, friends, or worst, enemies. It may also be uncomfortable to see your stuff being taken from some moving companies. You should not worry about your stuff being carried by those staffs though. Not everyone gets excited by the thought of relocation. It could be a great hassle especially when you finally get to warm up with your current environment. You met the right people you can hang out with. And then suddenly, a particular circumstance leads you to this option. Aside from that, the things inside your house also makes you bothered. Maybe you are the hoarder type or the shopaholic type of person that is why there are so many things inside your property.

Of course moving companies can help you with that dilemma. They could carry it all out and bring those belongings on your new location. But at sometimes, packing can be a daunting and tiring task. For that reason, so you could effectively packed your things, these tips will surely help you.

Number one tip, stop procrastinating. Delaying with a combination of laziness will do you nothing at all. If your house is filled with things you value, then start placing it in a box. Make sure do it several weeks before the day of your actual move.

Second, pack your things by room. So you would not be tired easily, try to set a goal like finish at least three boxes per day. Start with those rooms where rarely used items were placed. Focus on one room so you will not be disorganized and distracted by your task.

Third, label your boxes. This would help you to distinguish what items are inside the box which will be your indication later on. Use a marker and write a general description clearly. To avoid losing small objects during packing, better wrap it with bright-colored paper.

Fourth tip, choose the right boxes for packaging and also papers for wrapping. Make sure the boxes can hold the weight of the items, otherwise, it will turn useless. And for the paper, make sure as well that the papers are clean and would not leave dirt and mark.

Fifth, give your unwanted stuffs or have a garage or yard sale. Some things may not be useful to you anymore. You may throw it if it looks so worn out. But for things like books, old clothes, toys, and others, you may sell it or perhaps give it to others. That way, your items will be minimized.

Lastly, you should know what you cannot pack. Some things are quite hazardous and forcing it will bring you trouble. Decide what you need and not need to pack.
