Coaches take an objective approach since they do not have the luxury of details. Their assessment is devoid of traditional thinking or favoritism. This is a clear departure from self assessment that is riddled with biases. Their ignorance of details is likely to cause misjudgment which may ruin your organizational goals. Never hand over your mandate to the coaches at the expense of long term employees.

The world is hungry for easy answers. This could be the reason you have hired a coach. They do not provide such answers by all means. They only offer hints and critical points of discussion that will provoke your thinking. It is rewarding when you have coaches who understand your challenges and are widely embraced within the organization.
