One of the most popular areas to search these days is online. The online jobs are helping people earn a lot of money. As a result, scammers have gotten into the act.

Some websites were created to monitor online scams. They report that scammers produced 550 fake websites in 2009 focused on fleecing people. Most of the sites were opened in the US. It is now 2012. Will you be able to imagine the number of fake sites now.

If you are one of those people looking for work online, how do you spot online job scams? Are there telltale signs to keep you safe? It is difficult to identify most of the online scammers. They understand the mindset of the jobseekers very well. A lot of professionals are also employed to make the process look genuine. Legitimate web sites can also be taken over by them.

You can take the help of the telltale signs available. While starting make sure to look at the website properly. Does it look right? Is everything looking fine? Is the email genuine? Is It from a corporate domain rather that a popular provider, such as Gmail, or yahoo? Is there anything wrong about the page? In order to attract people are they using popular web names? Do they sound to be too good?

If this company is requesting your personal information such as license or passport up front before you even agree to their terms, they are probably a scam. Is the company trying to convince you that they are legal, with words such as "100% legal?" They are not.

Do you homework properly in order to get a job online. Proper companies will need your name and email to start the process. Try to have a look at the online scam websites.

If you do these simple things, you have a much better chance of finding an online business that is legitimate. Thoroughly check the online form before filling it up.
