Effective Site Promotion Using Directories

By Victor Krumm

Article writing is vital to effective web page promotion and, like website directories and social media sites, easily can be adapted to automation.

Better, you'll build net traffic and get the all important backlinks at the same time.

One way back links, the kind that Google favors and which, over the passage of time, will raise your internet page in the all important Search Results.

If you're not acquainted with article writing or article submission directories, do not be troubled. An article marketing directory is nothing more than a site that accepts articles that people write.

Everyone benefits.

There are thousands of free article promotion directories. They make their money from ads on their sites and are always happy to consistently post fresh content.

You'll benefit, also , because article writing is a sure-fire path to promote your website, get exposure and new visitors to your Internet page, and get back links. You can't beat the price tag (free) and, for permitting you to post your articles for nothing, each article submission directory grants you the ability to create at least two back links to your site.

Anybody can use your article on their own sites, so they benefit, too.

Keep in mind that search engines rank pages, not internet sites, and that 2 of the factors influencing a page's ranking in search results are the number and quality of back links pointing to it. Thus, when you employ article writing as part of your web promotion strategy, it's in your web page's best interest to get as many one way back links as it can get.

Google Page Rank is allotted to every article marketing directory and they will rank anywhere from PR0 to PR8. The higher the number, the higher the quality back link---so don't neglect posting your article to a high Google Page Rank article marketing directory as well as a wide variety of other article directories.

Tip: Your web browser probably has a free "add-on" extension that will display a web site's Page Rank. Google Chrome has several such add-ons, including: SEOmator (which also displays "no follow" links) and S.E.O Chrome (which also displays the amount of backlinks). Other browsers typically have similar free extensions.

For optimum results, use today's "spinning" technology to make unique versions of each of your articles and post to dozens or more article directories on a consistent basis.
